Jack Izzo is a San Diego-born, Chicago-based journalist who joined Snopes in October 2023. Prior to Snopes, Jack graduated with a B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University, where he researched the psychology of misinformation under Prof. David Rapp. Jack writes about anything and everything — he covered scientific breakthroughs at Popular Science, Northwestern sports for InsideNU, and has a short documentary premiering at the AmDocs film festival in 2024. A two-time "Jeopardy!" alumnus, Jack enjoys climbing rocks, throwing frisbees, solving Rubik’s Cubes, and DJing at his former college radio station, WNUR.
