Tom Steele
Tom Steele is a Dallas-based journalist. Before joining Snopes as an assignments editor in January 2024, he covered and edited breaking news and a number of other topics for The Dallas Morning News. At The News, he was part of a team that was a 2017 Pulitzer Prize finalist for breaking news reporting. He also previously worked as a copy editor for The Florida Times-Union. He has degrees in journalism and economics from Lehigh University. In his free time, he enjoys hiking with his dog, drinking too much coffee, watching old movies and going to concerts.
