Are Rare 'Night-Shining' Clouds an Indicator of Climate Change?

Don’t get it twisted. Despite the rumors and politicized debate, human-caused climate change is a very real problem.

Some facts are hard to face. Nonetheless, what may seem like a small uptick in temperature has already sparked dramatic and documented changes around the globe. Higher sea levels, stronger storms, and more health risks are just a few predicted future effects.

How to respond? Many ideas exist but, unfortunately, the one that keeps trending is "denial."

Whether it takes the form of inaction or obstruction, climate-change denial remains a formidable adversary to those who would levy for more effective policy and behavioral changes — not to mention to those who have been affected directly.

Despite persistent and ominous predictions from scientists and advocates, equally persistent sources continue to circulate misinformation and cast doubt on what is a widely accepted truth among thousands of scientists: Climate change is real and it’s caused by humans.

Denial never was a river in Egypt, but it may one day be a real bad flood.
