With U.S. President Donald Trump's inauguration in January 2025, Karoline Leavitt assumed the position of White House press secretary, making her the youngest person to have ever held the title.

Nominated at age 27, Leavitt grew up in New Hampshire — in a home where "Fox News was always on," the Washington Post reported — and was a college student during Trump's first presidential term. In 2022, she ran an unsuccessful congressional campaign, and Trump's third presidential campaign tapped her to be its press secretary in early 2024.

Since leading White House communications, she has been both a target and promoter of questionable rumors. Below is a sample.
