On Feb. 21, a Reddit user posted what appeared to be an eerie find. The headline of the thread read: "The missing persons map has a frightening similarity to the cave system map." The thread racked up nearly 35,000 points.

The screenshot included was from an Oct. 30, 2019, tweet that received nearly 5,000 retweets and 24,000 likes. Replies to the tweet referenced movies and TV shows about missing persons and caves, such as the 2019 film "Us" and the Netflix series "Dark."

But the spooky implications start to dissipate when you look at the actual facts. Dan Evon reports.
