Of the many different kinds of images that are shared online, one would think an MRI scan would be among the least likely to go viral.

Not so, we learned, when a magnetic resonance image of a mother kissing her baby began trending on social media. According to the caption, it showed a chemical reaction in the baby’s brain caused by the mother's kiss. “It’s an MRI of love," the caption read.

Does it truly document the physical manifestation of love inside a human brain? Snopes.com’s David Mikkelson reports.
