“People are flushing toilets 10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once. They end up using more water,” U.S. President Donald Trump observed last week in reported remarks that quickly achieved viral status.

What was he talking about and why? The president was lobbying for a review of EPA standards for low-flow plumbing fixtures. The regulations are similar to other environment-friendly measures the president has taken steps to relax or eliminate since he came into office. Dan MacGuill reports.
