In early 2026, Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk remained at the center of many online claims following the 2025 assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk. Much of the discourse about her involved misinformation, with social media users sharing a mix of fabricated allegations, satire presented as fact and miscaptioned images.
For example, multiple widely shared posts falsely claimed she made a dramatic entrance at an alternative Super Bowl halftime show , was secretly cut out of her late husband's will before his death or lost custody of her children. Other rumors stemmed from satirical accounts, including a fabricated quote promoting "Charlie Kirk dishware" and an image claiming to show an official "South Park" promotional teaser featuring her. Separate waves of posts have also leveled more serious, unsubstantiated allegations against Kirk — including claims that she was involved in child trafficking — despite a lack of supporting evidence.
