In mid-2026, Hunter Biden, the long-controversial son of former President Joe Biden, delighted and enraged the internet after rejoining X and posting a series of blunt, self-deprecating posts that defended his dad, trolled his trolls, and shared his experiences with addiction.

"This crackhead has a lot to say so buckle your seat belt my friend," the self-described artist, author and recovery advocate wrote in a June 4 post.

Snopes has covered rumors involving Hunter Biden for years amid his drug and sex scandals, legal troubles, allegations of improper foreign business interests, and a presidential pardon from his father. For example, we confirmed that he said smoked parmesan cheese after mistaking it for crack cocaine, and debunked a false claim that an image showed him with underage girls.
