Snopes has investigated a wide range of rumors involving the longtime host of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"

A new wave of false information about Jimmy Kimmel emerged online in September 2025, after ABC temporarily suspended his late-night TV show over his comments about Charlie Kirk's assassination.
But Kimmel has for years been the subject of online rumors — ranging from alleged million brand losses to fabricated clashes with public figures. Many of the claims were completely made up or created as satire that some readers took at face value.
For example, one story about Kimmel falsely claimed the network replaced him with Fox News host Tucker Carlson in a $400 million deal. Other rumors alleged Coca-Cola "dropped" Elon Musk and Karoline Leavitt .
