U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., died July 11, 2026, after a "brief and sudden illness" and more than three decades serving in Congress. The Associated Press reported that Graham suffered a tear in his aorta.
Snopes investigated multiple claims about Graham throughout his career, including some that proved surprisingly true, such as that he was once spotted at Disney World holding a bubble wand during the 2026 government shutdown.
