Since 1988, conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh has broadcast his divisive opinions on politics, health, and society to millions of listeners. His influence has been credited with reinvigorating Republican politics in the U.S.; he's also been called racist, bigoted, and homophobic.
In early 2020, he made headlines when U.S. President Donald Trump awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, shortly after Limbaugh announced on his show he had been diagnosed with "advanced lung cancer."
