Grammy-winning musician Sean "Diddy" Combs was taken into custody in September 2024, indicted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Before his 2024 arrest, Combs enjoyed a lucrative career in the music industry as a rapper, producer and executive. He endured a variety of legal troubles throughout his time in the spotlight, including previous arrests and rape accusations .
Following Combs' arrest, searches on the Snopes website and messages in the Snopes email inbox reflected readers' strong interest in his history and the rumors flying as a result.
The rumors ranged from his alleged friendship with U.S. President Donald Trump to misinformation about who testified during the trial and whether he once partyied with former Vice President Kamala Harris .
