For example, conservative nonprofit Turning Point USA said they were hosting an "alternative" halftime show with musician Kid Rock headlining. President Donald Trump was among those to condemn Bad Bunny's selection — in part, because of the singer's past criticism of ICE.
Numerous false stories have circulated about the upcoming halftime show — and the Super Bowl in general — including the claim that a group of country singers refused to perform a purported tribute to conservative activist Charlie Kirk at the event.
