Taylor Swift is known the world over for her Grammy Award-winning albums, her bestselling tours and her mission to regain the rights to her original master recordings. As with any public figure on an international stage, Swift has been the subject of a constantly churning rumor mill, particularly focused on her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce — to whom she announced her engagement on Aug. 26, 2025, as well as her political affiliations , which have made her a frequent target for conservatives.
Snopes has investigated numerous claims about Swift over the years, from rumors that she remotely activated Eras Tour bracelets to communicate with fans to reports that she was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Pope Leo XIV to a claim that she and Bruce Springsteen performed together after U.S. President Donald Trump criticized them.
