In the president's AI-generated world, he's poop-bombed protesters, served as the pope and walked alongside a shackled alien.

U.S. President Donald Trump is no stranger to controversial social media posts, so it may not come as a surprise that he's embraced bizarre content generated by artificial intelligence.

In May 2026, for example, the president posted an AI-generated image of himself flanked by security while walking alongside a shackled alien. A month earlier, he posted and then deleted an AI-generated depiction of himself in the likeness of Jesus Christ, drawing criticism from both his supporters and opponents. Some of the Trump administration's posts featuring AI-generated content have also spread misinformation, such as a video promoting fake cure-all devices known as "med beds."

Snopes frequently receives inquiries about AI-generated content posted by Trump or the White House, including a video of Trump poop-bombing protesters and an image of the president as the pope. Below we compiled 10 articles on this topic.

An image of U.S. President Donald Trump wearing classic white robe and red sash, garments with which Jesus often appears in traditional representations. A halo of light emanates from Trump. He seems to touch the forehead of a white man lying in a bed as two white women (one of them a medical care provider) and two white men (one of them a soldier) seem to pray on their knees around him. Behind him to the right of the image, the Statue of Liberty appears. In the sky above him, five figures stand or walk, four of whom seem to be soldiers. The central figure has no head, but horns, and two appendages raised awkwardly in the air, suggesting an AI hallucination — nonexistent or nonsensical visual objects Generative AI sometimes creates. On the left, a U.S. flag floats in the sky.
