Former U.S. President Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign has constantly focused on immigration. Throughout the campaign, we've fact-checked claims he and his running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, have made about the topic.

Some of the claims we've fact-checked were made by the candidates while campaigning, like whether Trump said the following quote in reference to immigrants: "They're not humans, they're animals." (He was referring specifically to immigrants in the country illegally who faced murder charges.) Other claims we fact-checked were ones the candidates themselves spread, like Vance elevating rumors about Haitian immigrants eating pets in Springfield, Ohio, that we found were unsourced internet rumors.

In the run-up to the 2024 election, we've fact-checked other claims surrounding Trump and Vance. Some of these claims have focused on images that have targeted the Republican nominees, while others have focused on statements the two allegedly have made.
