Don't fall for fake image claiming Disney is planning Charlie Kirk movie

Disney did release its slate of upcoming movies during an April 2026 convention, but none of them are called "Charlie Kirk."

An image from April 2026 authentically shows that Disney is planning a movie titled "Charlie Kirk" for either 2026 or early 2027.
Rating:
Labeled Satire

About this rating

In April 2026, an image spread online appearing to show Disney's upcoming theatrical slate of movies for 2026 and early 2027, which included a movie set for Nov. 6 named "Charlie Kirk," after the conservative activist who was assassinated in 2025.

The image circulated on X, Instagram and Reddit. Some users seemed to interpret the image as Disney's legitimate plans for the corporation's upcoming movies.

This image originated from April 2026 posts on the X and Instagram accounts of a user called "Daily Noud," which is labeled as a parody account on X. "Daily Noud" is a satirical name based on an account called Daily Loud, which describes itself as the "#1 Source For Hip-Hop/Viral News Across The Planet."

"These are fake stories," the Daily Noud account description said on X. Daily Noud's Instagram account description includes a similar disclaimer. (Instagram does not have a specific parody or satire label for accounts.)

As such, we have rated this claim as labeled satire.

A reverse image search found credible images of Disney's theatrical slate, as released at CinemaCon 2026, including an image from Associated Press photographer Chris Pizzello. As such, Daily Noud likely used digital editing to replace a movie in Disney's actual theatrical slate — "Wild Horse Nine" — with "Charlie Kirk" in a preexisting image.

We reached out to Daily Noud to ask for more information about how the satirical image was created and await a response.

Snopes has investigated other pieces of media related to Kirk before. For example, in October 2025, we debunked an image appearing to show a vandalized Charlie Kirk Memorial Highway sign

Because the effectiveness of satire is subjective, we use "originated as satire" or "labeled satire" ratings based on creators' description of their work. It's your call on whether you agree.
