In late June 2025, a rumor swirled that U.S. President Donald Trump had launched a new fragrance named "Victory 45-47."
For example, a post on X claimed the new fragrance cost $249 (archived):
As of this writing, the post had more than 30,000 views and had received scores of replies. "Smells like mean spiritedness," said one, referring to the 1991 Nirvana song "Smells like Teen Spirit." "Smells like his diaper," another wrote, referring to claims about Trump's body odor. The rumor also appeared on Facebook, including on the page of Agencia Nazionale Stampa Associata, Italy's leading news agency.
Further, other news outlets reported on the supposed new fragrance, including Newsweek, Mediaite, The Independent and The Times of India.
The claim is true. Trump announced the new fragrance in a June 30, 2025, post on Truth Social (archived):

Trump's post included photographs of the men's and women's versions of the fragrance, which came in jars bearing Trump's signature and whose lids were golden statuettes of the president. In the post, Trump explained the choice of the name Victory 45-47:
Trump Fragrances are here. They're called "Victory 45-47" because they're all about Winning, Strength, and Success — For men and women. Get yourself a bottle, and don't forget to get one for your loved ones too. Enjoy, have fun, and keep winning!
His post also included the link to a site from which to buy the fragrance. Each bottle was listed at $249, though a promotion encouraged customers to buy two for a $100 discount:

Fragrantica, a website that lists and reviews fragrances, had published pages for users to review the two perfumes. Reviews for the men's version indicated the main accords were woody and warm spices. Meanwhile, the women's version revealed the top notes were citrusy, with base notes of vanilla, and that it had "very weak" longevity — meaning it evaporated quickly from the skin after application. Elena Knezevic, Fragrantica's co-founder and editor-in-chief, posted her own review of it on June 25, 2025.
A search of the site that sells the fragrances revealed a disclaimer that the company that made the fragrances used the president's "name, likeness and image under a paid license." In other words, Trump's company CIC Ventures profited from a license it sold to the fragrance-maker:

Trump, The Trump Organization, CIC Ventures LLC or any of their respective principals or affiliates. 45Footwear uses Donald J. Trump has promoted Trump-branded fragrances for years. According to Fragrantica and the sales website, one of the most recent ones was Fight Fight Fight, launched before Trump took office in January 2025, just in time for the 2024 holiday season. Older Trump-branded fragrances included Donald Trump (2004), Success (2011) and Empire (2015).
