In July 2025, a photograph claimed to show U.S. President Donald Trump dancing with a teenage girl on an island owned by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The caption stated: "Photo of Donald Trump at Epstein's private island, dancing with a 13-year-old girl. Trump was in his 50s when this was taken. What kind of man does that?"

The image is clearly fake. Below, we pinpoint a number of red flags that show it was artificially generated.

Using Google's reverse image search tool, we found no authentic news sources that featured the image, which appeared in numerous social media posts on Facebook and X and has been on the internet since at least 2023. Were this image real, it would have made headline news.

One indication that the photo is AI-generated is the unnatural hair and skin tone on the teenage girl, particularly the smoothness of the skin on her arm. Trump's armpit, where the girl's hand is placed, is unusually high.

Another indication stands out in the background of the image. The man behind the girl's shoulder appears to be holding the glass of alcohol with six fingers (including one invisible thumb), five of which are strangely elongated. The individual behind Trump's shoulder also has no visible ear lobe, despite the rest of the ear being in place.

Finally, Trump has blue eyes, as seen in these real mages. The AI-generated image shows Trump with brown eyes.

Epstein died by suicide in 2019. While the above image is fake, we have covered real instances of Trump photographed alongside Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

We have previously published an explainer on how to spot AI-generated images.
