One Dead in North Carolina Mall Shooting

The alleged gunman was killed by police responding to a fight at the Northlake Mall in Charlotte.

One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting at the Northlake Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina.

According to Charlotte police, two groups of people began arguing at the mall on Thursday afternoon, among crowds of people finishing their holiday shopping.  Witnesses then reported hearing several shots, after which the mall turned chaotic:

Witnesses told local reporters that a man with a gun was shot and killed by police after initial shots were fired.

According to medics, there were no other people killed.  However, they treated one person for a leg injury, another who went into labor, and a third who suffered an asthma attack.
