Don't fall for Trump tirade against voters for electing Democrats in November 2025

While Trump is known for making provocative statements on social media, many fabricated posts attributed to the president also spread online.

U.S. President Donald Trump is known for making outlandish and provocative statements on social media. And yet, over the years, Snopes has found that many of his purported online posts have been fabrications.

Trump uses Truth Social to share his opinions and policy proposals, and even to spread false information. In April 2026, Trump threatened Iran numerous times online ahead of his deadline for the country to reopen the Strait of Hormuz — a key shipping route for oil supplies.

But in many instances, internet assumptions about Trump's posts were wrong. For example, Trump did not say on Truth Social that he was "no longer interested in having Canada as the 51st state." Trump also did not post about talking to Jesus, nor did he write a post calling himself "the KING."

To determine what Trump is saying on the platform, Snopes often uses Trump's Truth, a website that makes it easier to find the president's Truth Social posts — including deleted ones.

Below are recent examples of fake Truth Social posts attributed to Trump:
