When U.S. President Donald Trump began his second term in 2025, he chose longtime supporter Pam Bondi as his attorney general. In 2010, Bondi was elected Florida's first female attorney general, and she backed Trump during his first presidential campaign in 2016.

Critics of the Trump administration have blamed Bondi for politicizing the Justice Department, while supporters of the president have defended her actions. 

Since assuming the position, she has been the target — and source — of various rumors, including the seven below:
