As the U.S. Department of Justice released millions of files regarding deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in late January 2026, Snopes kept up by debunking fake images purportedly showing U.S. President Donald Trump with underage girls.
Numerous fabricated pictures spread online amid allegations that Trump was involved in Epstein's crimes. The president has repeatedly dismissed such allegations and has tried to distance himself from the late financier, despite saying in a 2002 interview with New York magazine:
Images and videos that we've looked into — sometimes including Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal charges of trafficking minors for sex — also previously circulated in 2025, while one such image dated back to January 2024.
Such fabrications have circulated alongside rumors that Trump has engaged in sexual misconduct involving children. Though a jury in May 2023 found him liable for the sexual abuse of author E. Jean Carroll — a decision Trump was appealing, as of this writing — the original accusations against the president, of committing sexual crimes against children, from 2016 are dubious.
Though the images we fact-checked below are all fake, there are several authentic photos of Trump and Epstein together. "He's a lot of fun to be with," Trump said of Epstein in 2002. "It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life."
