About this rating

A rumor that a number of celebrities — Young Thug, Kendall Jenner, Tom Cruise, Jameis Winston, Drew Desbordes and Angel Reese — would be aboard the next Blue Origin flight in May 2025 circulated online in April 2025. One X post making the claim (archived), by the user @DailyNoud, had received more than 8.6 million views as of this writing:

Variations of the rumor spread on TikTok as well.

Some readers seemed to interpret the rumor as a factual recounting of real-life events. However, there was no evidence Blue Origin made such an announcement. Blue Origin has not publicly announced any details regarding celebrity passengers on future flights. The link on the post directs users to a Blue Origin news release (archived) regarding the company's April 14, 2025, flight.

Rather, the rumor about Young Thug and others originated with Daily Noud — a social media account that describes its output as being humorous or satirical in nature. Its bio states:

The fictional story spread after Blue Origin successfully launched six women — including pop star Katy Perry and TV host Gayle King — on April 14.

Daily Noud has a history of making up stories for shares and comments.

Snopes has addressed similar satirical claims about Blue Origin in the past, including the assertion that an image authentically depicted the crew of the April 14 fight with "botoxed" faces.

For background, here is why we alert readers to rumors created by sources that call their output humorous or satirical.
