As Israel dropped new bombs on Iran on June 24, 2025, defying U.S. President Donald Trump's demand that the two countries cease fire, a rumor began to spread that Trump dropped a verbal bomb when asked to react to the news on the lawn of the White House.

For example, a post on X shared a video of Trump saying an expletive on camera, calling it an "incredible clip" (archived):

Trump said in the video:

As soon as we made the deal, they came out, and they dropped a lot of bombs, the likes of which I'd never seen before, the biggest load that we've seen. I'm not happy with Israel. You know when, when I say, "OK, now you have 12 hours," you don't go out in the first hour, just drop everything you have on them. So I'm not happy with them. I'm not happy with Iran either. But I'm really unhappy if Israel's going out this morning, because the one rocket that didn't land, that was shot, perhaps by mistake, that didn't land. I'm not happy about that. We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don't know what the f*** they're doing. You understand that?

As of this writing, the post had earned more than 130,000 views and 1,500 likes. Other posts on X and Facebook shared similar clips and made the same claim. Further, Snopes readers searched the site wondering if Trump had really said these words.

Indeed, Trump said these words. Fox News posted a clip of his remark on YouTube (at 3:15):

Other reputable news outlets also caught the expletive in Trump's response, including Reuters. Trump was expressing his anger that Israel continued to bomb Iran despite his order that they pause hostilities to reach a deal. This came after the U.S. joined the conflict by bombing three nuclear enrichment sites in Iran. The day before, Trump had announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. Soon after he voiced his displeasure on camera, Israeli bombs continued to fall on Iran, according to Reuters.
