In June 2025, people on social media circulated an image that allegedly showed campaign art for a potential Kamala Harris presidential run in 2028.
Some of the posts (archived) claimed the image depicted "leaked" campaign concept art, while others (archived) alleged (archived) Harris herself had posted it. Snopes readers also searched our website for information about the purported campaign art and emailed us asking whether it was real.

Contrary to the online claims, there was no record of Harris posting such an image on any of her social media platforms, and she had not announced a 2028 presidential run as of this writing. The image originated as satire on X.
Snopes contacted representatives for Harris and will update this story if and when we receive a response.
We found one of the earliest iterations of the meme shared by X user @adamfrancisco_ (archived) on June 10, 2025:
On the same day he posted the meme, Francisco replied to the post (archived), "Dying at the comments. No this is not real."
Snopes reached out to Francisco to ask whether he was the original creator of the image. He replied, "It was satire," and sent us a YouTube video where he broke down how he made the image.
In the video, Francisco said he came across the image used in the meme on Facebook and saved it to his phone. He then imported the image into a photo editing app and showed how he inserted a sticker that read, "Kamala Harris for the people."
"It took me literally five seconds to design this now-extremely viral image that was put up as satire, but for some reason people thought it was real," he said in the video, adding that he was surprised people took it seriously.
Using RevEye, a reverse image search tool, Snopes also found the same image used in other recent memes that had nothing to do with Harris.
Snopes traced one of the earliest iterations of the graphic used to create the Harris meme to a Reddit post published on June 7, 2025. We were unable to contact the Reddit user for additional details.
Snopes has covered a number of other topics related to Kamala Harris, including a photo allegedly showing her and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton after Harris lost the 2024 election and a rumor that her campaign gave Oprah $1 million.
For background, here is why we alert readers to rumors created by sources that call their output humorous or satirical.
