In February 2026, posts appeared on Facebook claiming that the country musician Morgan Wallen had donated $514,000, reportedly his paycheck for a concert, to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Wallen reportedly said that the agency "plays a critical role in keeping our communities safe and deserves full support" and that "America needs secure borders."

Snopes readers searched the site and emailed us asking to fact-check the claim. There was no evidence that Wallen had announced or made such a donation to ICE. We contacted Wallen's press detail for information about the claim, but had not heard back at time of publication.
Throughout 2025 and 2026, ICE has faced public backlash over its use of force during immigration operations and its role in the fatal shootings of two U.S. citizens, Renee Good and Alex Pretti, in Minneapolis.
The Facebook pages spreading the claim generally included links to WordPress blogs with news articles supposedly reporting on the ordeal, like the newsday.cafex.biz domain. But given Wallen's status as a public figure, reputable entertainment publications would have reported the news, if it was true.
Searching Google, Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo showed that no such articles existed. We also checked Wallen's social media accounts to see if he had shared a statement, but similarly found no results.
Such claims are generally spread with the goal to earn money from advertising on the affiliated WordPress blogs and from the social media platforms themselves.
In this case, the posts were likely an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of a similar false claim Snopes previously fact-checked about a different person, Minnesota Timberwolves basketball player Anthony Edwards. According to that claim, Edwards donated the same amount, $514,000, to ICE.
